PALHIK MANA

A very large PALHIK MANA the BUTTERFLY MAIDEN. (even thought this is an oxymoron). Maiden/Mana, the popular Kachina Carving. Ca. 1930-40. Height 16 1/4 inches. In fine condition with nice old soft paint. Price $5600.00

Two HOPI PUPPETS, a KOSHARI CLOWN, height 6 inches,  $975.00 and a MUDHEAD CLOWN, height 6 1/2 inches,  $925.00. These are made in the 50's and 60's by HENRY SEENI.


APACHE MANA

This MANA appears to be an APACHE KACHINA MANA. The dress is typical APACHE and the mask appears to be APACHE. Carring a tus (water) basket on her back. This may be a unique doll. Shows age wear. Height 7 inches. Hopi carved.  $1200.00

HONAN KACHINA the BADGER. A very popular Kachina, this is 7 1/2 inches high, likely from the 1940-50's period.  Price is $450.00.    And a seated MUDHEAD DRUMMER, the PUSHUN' KOYEMSI, height 5 inches and is also from mid-20th century. Price $450.00

HOPI CLOWN, unidentified. Similar to the Female PALATSUTSKUTU or maybe a variation of the Yellow TSUKU. Maiden whorls and a bit of blue paint. Early, Ca. 1900. From a European collection. Height 9 5/8 inches. Price $5000.00

A simple carved MUDHEAD DOLL,  from the 1940-50's. height 8 inches to the top of knot. Blue scarf and placed on a Fred Harvey type stand (new). Price $725

PAHLIKMANA the BUTTERFLY MAIDEN. A large beautifully carved and constructed doll. Height 17 inches.  With a thin plied tablita and numerous accoutrements, this doll was made before WWII. An exceptional large Kachina. Currently on loan to a museum in New York State. Avaliable after September 2014.
